About Our Drawing and Painting Classes
Come join the fun and learn something new with experienced, lifelong artists and sisters, Kathryn Petro ff and Michelle Paez. Our adult classes will be kept small in size in order to provide as much individual attention as possible.

Come join the fun and learn something new with experienced, lifelong artists and sisters, Kathryn Petro ff and Michelle Paez. Our adult classes will be kept small in size in order to provide as much individual attention as possible.
The mediums being explored through drawing and painting lessons will be pencil, pastel, pen & ink, watercolor, and oil paint. In these classes, you will learn techniques such as shading, perspective, line quality, layering of colors, controlling the amount of water or solvent versus paint, mixing colors, and much more in a relaxed, supportive environment. All skill levels are welcome, even beginners! We will start by taking a deep dive into drawing techniques for roughly 3 months. At that point, we will move on to watercolor for about the same amount of time, and then oil painting.
Classes will occur every other week at Stagedoor Theatre in Conifer, CO. Time slots are currently Thursdays 1:30-2:30 pm, and cost $35.00 per class. We encourage students to pay for at least one or two months at a time, if possible, to keep a steady spot in the class. Supplies can be purchased either through us in the form of a kit that we put together, or on your own at an art store or on a website. If you choose to buy the supplies on your own, we can provide you with a list of items you will need. You will only need to buy the supplies for the medium we are teaching at the time (ex: drawing supplies before the first class, watercolor supplies at the end of the first 3 months, and oil supplies at the end of the second 3 months). We also offer punch cards good for 5 classes for $175.00. These are helpful if you are not able to come to consecutive classes, but still want to attend when you are able. Punch cards must be initialled and dated by Kathryn or Michelle each time they are used.
If private one on one lessons are preferred, we’d love to discuss options. We have extensive experience teaching children through seniors, beginners through master classes and are happy to customize classes to each individual’s needs.
